Hello all, I'm posting from the tiny town of Evergreen, Colorado, right outside Denver. I'm fairly secure right now, I received advanced warning from a buddy in the Army, and i immediately went out to Ace Hardware and bought enough wood and metal sheeting to cover every window in my house. I live two miles off CR-73, so there aren't a whole lot of infested in my neighborhood. Mostly the neighbors who haven't wandered down the mountainside yet. I'm pretty well prepared, I picked up enough food for 2 more months, My water draws from a clean well, so that'll last for a long time, and I've got a Ruger 10/22 Carbine, with 2,000 rounds. I should be able to last here for a while, but if i need to move I've got my Toyota Tacoma, all gassed up, with a couple extra cans in the bed. I've been staying quiet, but I'm going stir crazy. I need human contact...

I think I have hit a stroke of luck. I was on the roof yesterday, prone with binoculars, when I saw a Hummer H2 climbing the hilly road to my neighborhood. I grabbed a road flare, I use them for distracting zombies, they like the light. But anyways, I signaled this Hummer, and started clearing the area. There were only a few dead heads around, so it wasn't hard. The Hummer pulled into my driveway and I jumped down onto it, then the ground. Two people jumped out, a man and a woman. The woman pointed a 12-gauge at me. I drew my pistol immediately and pointed it straight back at her. I told her that I'm running the show, she can either stand down or leave. She lowered her weapon. I invited them in, and they gladly accepted. Today we are all sitting inside. Robert, the man, brought in all his supplies. He had 3 M16s he got from an Army buddy before the apocalypse. He also had 4 silencers he got from the same guy. He gave me a silenced M16 to replace my rifle. I'll be carrying both though, just in case. I traded him some steak I had kept fresh for another silencer. I attached it to a Walther PPK I had found in the safe upstairs. I don't have as much ammo for the pistol, but hopefully I won't need to use it. But you never know. We are about to go onto the roof and clear the area, all the noise yesterday, from the gunshots and all, attracted a ton of them. The silencers should fix this. I'll update again eventually.
