Hi from the outskirts of Elbert, CO,
I signed up on this forum just to let you all know that you're panicking over nothing. Just a bunch of reactionaries - that's what you are. The news here says it's just a bad virus that makes people disoriented and gives them nosebleeds. NOSEBLEEDS!
I can't believe y'all are boarding up your houses and shooting at sick people over a nosebleed! You're probably the reason that my husband and step kids got stuck in town in last night's traffic jam and had to stay there. They were lucky to get the last hotel room in the whole dang city - no thanks to you people spreading panic. We were going to go swimming last night, until you losers messed it up. C'mon - do you really believe every zombie blog you read on the internet? HELLO!!!?!
Anyway, I'll be sticking around to talk sense into you people until this thing blows over. A little about me: I'm in Colorado too - out in the middle of nowhere between Denver and Colorado Springs. My husband and his kids and I live out away from everyone. He was married to some horrible woman who beat the kids, but finally dumped her and came out here to be with me on our ranch.
To be honest, I wouldn't care much if these zombies were real. We're pretty well set up out here. I wouldn't say we're survivalist nut cases, let's just say we're 'preparedness enthusiasts'. My dad did a lot of special ops stuff in Vietnam and Cambodia - even after the fall of Saigon. He's seen governments fall, and wanted to make sure his family was ready for when it came here. I'm not very political, but dang it's a good thing he never lived to see the Obamanation. Anyway, we all know how to shoot, both for food and defense. We've got a basement full of food storage, generator, ability to grow our own food, and everything. Plus, we're in the middle of nowhere, so most people don't even know we're here to begin with.
Well, until everyone gets back from Colorado Springs, I got double-duty with the chores. Thanks again.
